02/10/2017: Sanderson Weatherall's auction for flour mill's plant assets, ends this week, 4 - 5th October

Property and asset consultancy Sanderson Weatherall has been instructed to sell the plant assets of the Jas Bowman & Sons Limited flour mills

The appointment comes following the company’s decision to withdraw from its milling operations and concentrate on its highly successful ingredients business.
 


Bowmans has ingredients operations in South Africa, Australia and Thailand as well as the UK. Assets from the flour mills in Hitchin, Herts and Whitley Bridge, East Yorkshire will go on auction in October 2017.

The items include a modern Heat Treatment plant capable of producing up to 16,000 tonnes per annum, a blending plant, the main production plant with 37 mainly Simon Roller Mills, grain cleaning, sack packing and general items including storage bins and silos and associated conveying equipment.

Roy Tubman, partner at Sanderson Weatherall said, “The plant and equipment should be of interest to Flour Millers both UK and overseas, animal feed millers, the grain handling and storage sector together with the general processing industry. Online auctions have been arranged to finish over two days, Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 October 2017 with major items available by private negotiation prior”.
