26/11/13: Event: exciting programme for Meat & Food Safety Focus Asia 2014


Co-hosted by International Meat Topics & International Food Hygiene and VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific Co Ltd, the conference, the first Meat & Food Safety Focus Asia will be held in Bangkok, Thailand next year.

The importance being placed on food safety and quality is increasing all the time, as is the cost of getting it wrong. The focus on food safety started in Europe with problems such as salmonella in eggs and mad cow disease (BSE). It then became a topical issue in the USA and its importance is now increasing in Asia. 

What's included in the conference?
The conference will cover a range of diverse topic including:
 -  minerals and meat quality
 - laboratory accuracy
 - authentication of meat products
 - fat analysis
 - rapid microbial testing
 - improving food safety and
 - mycotoxin testing

In addition, Sakchai Sriboonsue of the Thai National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS) will review the latest developments in food safety in Thailand.
